The IAM National Pension Fund (IAMNPF) National Pension Plan offers competitive, valuable retirement benefits for your membership.

This section describes what sets the National Pension Plan apart from single-employer plans. It explains how the plans work and outlines how union representatives can position and negotiate the plans on behalf of their membership.

In summary:

  • The National Pension Plan (NPP) is a defined benefit (DB) plan that provides a known, lifetime benefit. It is funded by employer contributions and investment returns on those contributions. Employees may not contribute to the plan.
